Bach Mai Hospital Rehabilitation Center

The Bach Mai Rehabilitation Center is in Building D4 of Bach Mai Hospital, 78 Giai Phong Street, Dong Da, Hanoi. Bach Mai’s institutional page says the centre was established in 1982 and became a Ministry of Health-recognised centre in 2005. It provides inpatient, outpatient and day-care rehabilitation as a central-level referral service, with 104 inpatient beds and more than 1,000 outpatient visits and treatments each year.

The published team includes rehabilitation physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and orthotists and prosthetists. Its clinical areas include post-stroke and traumatic-brain-injury rehabilitation, spinal-cord injury, bladder and bowel rehabilitation, cardiovascular and respiratory rehabilitation, orthopaedics, oncology, paediatrics, geriatrics and obstetrics. The centre also lists urodynamics, electromyography, non-invasive brain stimulation, botulinum toxin for spasticity, biofeedback and robotic-assisted rehabilitation.
