CarePlus International Clinics

CarePlus International Clinics is a four-site outpatient network in Ho Chi Minh City operated by CityClinic Vietnam Limited. It provides primary care, paediatrics, specialist consultations, health screening, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, vaccination, dental care and teleconsultation. The network is an associate of Singapore Medical Group, but CarePlus remains the local provider responsible for its Vietnam appointments and records.

Choosing the correct CarePlus location

The network currently publishes four addresses. The Sai Gon Ward clinic is in Tasco Building at 66–68 Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa; Tan My Ward is on level 2 of Crescent Plaza at 105 Tôn Dật Tiên; Tan Binh Ward is at 107 Tân Hải; and the newer Tân Sơn Nhì Ward clinic is unit S1.0.06, Diamond Alnata, Tân Thạnh, Celadon City. These are not interchangeable because evening hours and service scope vary.

All four sites publish consultations between 08:00 and 17:00 from Monday through Saturday, with a 12:00–13:00 lunch break shown by the network. Tan My and Tan Binh add weekday evening paediatrics and testing until 20:00 and Sunday paediatrics from 08:00 to 12:00. Selected dental evenings differ between those two sites. Tân Sơn Nhì opens Sunday morning but publishes a narrower mix of paediatrics, dentistry, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, ultrasound and laboratory services. Confirm the specialty, doctor and branch before travelling.

General medicine and coordinating specialist care

Internal medicine can be an entry point for fever, respiratory or digestive symptoms, blood-pressure concerns, diabetes monitoring and undifferentiated adult health problems. CarePlus also publishes cardiology, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology, endocrinology, musculoskeletal care, dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology and ear-nose-throat services. Availability depends on the doctor’s timetable and branch.

Bring a concise medical history, medicines and allergies, prior diagnoses and recent test results. Ask what the clinician thinks is most likely, which alternatives remain, why a test is needed and when results require follow-up. If several specialists become involved, identify who will coordinate medications and the overall plan. The CarePlus app can hold laboratory and imaging reports, but a digital record does not replace a named clinician reviewing abnormal findings.

International residents looking specifically for primary care can also compare Vietnam Clinic’s English-speaking GP options in Ho Chi Minh City. CarePlus has an English website and serves foreign patients, but the network does not promise that every clinician or receptionist speaks English during every session; request language support when booking.

Paediatrics and evening access

Paediatrics is available across the network, with extended weekday and Sunday sessions at Tan My and Tan Binh and a published Sunday service at Tân Sơn Nhì. CarePlus offers consultations, testing, childhood health screening, growth and nutrition review, common-disease care and vaccination packages. Parents should bring the child’s vaccination record, weight history, current medicines and previous test results.

A late clinic slot can help with non-emergency illness, but it is not a paediatric emergency department. Difficulty breathing, blue lips, seizure, severe dehydration, reduced consciousness, major injury, a stiff neck with fever or a rapidly deteriorating infant needs hospital care. Ask where CarePlus refers children who require admission, surgery, oxygen or continuous observation.

Women’s health and family planning

The service directory includes obstetrics and gynaecology, family-planning packages, reproductive and endocrine assessments, ultrasound and cervical or cancer-related screening. Exact services should be confirmed by branch. Bring the date of the last menstrual period, pregnancy history, contraception, medication list and previous ultrasound or screening results.

A routine outpatient clinic can assess many concerns but is not a maternity hospital. Heavy bleeding, severe pelvic or abdominal pain, fainting, suspected ectopic pregnancy, reduced fetal movement or signs of labour require urgent obstetric assessment. Before an intimate examination, the clinician should explain its purpose and offer an appropriate chaperone. Screening packages should be selected according to age and risk rather than purchased simply because more tests appear comprehensive.

Diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing

CarePlus publishes X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, CT, MRI and DXA services, as well as laboratory diagnostics. Ultrasound options include abdominal, vascular, breast, thyroid, pregnancy and paediatric examinations. Not every modality is necessarily located at every branch, and some advanced imaging may be delivered through the network’s Lifescan centre. Confirm the physical location, preparation and report timetable when booking.

For CT, ask whether contrast is required and disclose kidney disease, previous contrast reaction, pregnancy and thyroid treatment. MRI safety screening should cover pacemakers, clips, implanted devices, metal fragments and claustrophobia. Mammography and DXA answer different clinical questions and should follow an age- and risk-appropriate plan. Obtain the radiologist’s report and images, not only a verbal summary, if another doctor or insurer will need them.

Screening packages and work-permit examinations

The network offers adult and child check-ups, premium screening, cardiovascular, liver, gastrointestinal, diabetes, asthma and cancer-related packages, plus work-permit health examinations for foreigners. A package is a convenience framework, not proof that every included test benefits every person. Start with age, sex, family history, symptoms, previous results and occupational requirements.

Ask which tests are mandatory for the work permit, what identification and photographs are required and whether the clinic’s certificate format is accepted for the specific application. For general screening, clarify fasting, medication instructions and how results are communicated. A result outside the reference range may be temporary or clinically unimportant, but every significant abnormality needs a named follow-up pathway rather than an automated report alone.

Vaccination and travel-related preparation

CarePlus publishes infant vaccination packages and HPV vaccination among its services. Before vaccination, bring existing records so the clinician can avoid unnecessary repetition and construct a catch-up schedule where needed. Ask for the vaccine name, manufacturer, batch, expiry, dose, administration date and next due date in a durable record.

Vaccination availability can change, and a package does not guarantee that every product is in stock at every branch. Disclose previous severe reactions, current fever, immune suppression and pregnancy. Routine post-vaccine discomfort can occur, but breathing difficulty, facial swelling, collapse or widespread hives requires immediate emergency treatment. For international travel advice beyond the published programme, confirm whether the branch offers the destination-specific consultation and certificate needed.

Dental and minor-procedure scope

Dental care is listed as a network specialty, with extra evening sessions at Tan My on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and at Tan Binh on Tuesday and Thursday. The network also publishes teeth-whitening packages. Confirm where examinations, X-rays, restorations, root-canal care or other procedures are actually available and which dentist will perform them. A cosmetic package should follow an oral-health assessment rather than substitute for one.

CarePlus lists minor surgery as a specialty, but that label does not mean the outpatient sites can manage every operation or complication. Ask what procedure is planned, who performs it, what anaesthesia is used, how specimens are sent to pathology and where escalation occurs if bleeding, infection or another problem exceeds clinic capacity.

Mental health and teleconsultation

The network publishes mental-health care and video consultations through the CarePlus app. Its telemedicine material covers paediatrics, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT and limited dental concerns, depending on scheduling. Remote care can support review of stable chronic disease, visible symptoms, medication questions and decisions about whether an in-person visit is needed.

A video call cannot perform a full physical examination, imaging or urgent intervention. Chest pain, severe breathlessness, stroke signs, suicidal intent, psychosis, major trauma or rapidly worsening illness should not wait for teleconsultation. Confirm which clinician will conduct the call, whether prescriptions are valid for the patient’s situation and how records will be transferred if in-person care follows.

Direct billing and international insurance

CarePlus publishes direct billing with a current group of insurance partners. Eligibility is plan-specific: patients must present a valid insurance card plus ID or passport, sign the consent documentation and wait for the insurer or administrator to issue a payment guarantee. Dental, maternity, vaccination, screening, pre-existing conditions and other categories may be excluded unless accepted in advance.

Direct billing is not a guarantee of coverage. If approval is unavailable or the policy excludes part of the visit, CarePlus may require direct payment or a deposit and then provide documents for reimbursement. Contact both the clinic and insurer before a planned visit, particularly for imaging, chronic conditions or a high-cost package. Ask whether pre-authorisation, referral or a particular branch is required.

Payments, app access and records

Official pages confirm cash, Vietnamese and international bank cards through POS, bank-related direct billing processes, the EasyCare prepaid card and electronic wallets including MoMo, SmartPay, Moca, VinIDPay and ZaloPay. Not every promotion or wallet may remain active, so verify the current method before relying on it. EasyCare is a prepaid product with its own expiry, sharing and service-exclusion terms rather than health insurance.

The CarePlus app provides access to personal and family records, laboratory results and imaging reports. Keep independent copies of major reports, prescriptions and invoices, especially before leaving Vietnam. Ask that diagnoses, medication names and follow-up dates be written clearly in English if another country’s clinician will continue care.

When CarePlus is not the right destination

CarePlus describes itself as an outpatient clinic network, not a 24-hour hospital emergency department. Call emergency services or attend an appropriate hospital for chest pain with instability, stroke symptoms, severe breathing difficulty, major trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, poisoning, severe allergic reaction or any condition likely to require surgery, intensive monitoring or admission.

For non-emergency referrals, ask the CarePlus doctor which hospital and specialty are appropriate, what records should accompany the patient and whether the receiving service has been contacted. Outpatient breadth is useful only when the boundary between consultation and hospital-level care remains clear.

Give the receptionist the exact specialty or test needed rather than asking only for ‘CarePlus’, and confirm whether fasting, a referral, previous images or an insurance guarantee is required.

The structured hours on this profile show the common network schedule of 08:00–17:00 Monday through Saturday. Sunday and evening care are described separately because they apply only to selected branches and services. CityClinic’s business-registration number 0313149135 identifies the operating company, not a universal medical licence number for every clinic; facility-specific licensing should be requested when needed for insurer or regulatory verification.
