About I-DENT Dental Clinic
A three-clinic dental system in Ho Chi Minh City
I-DENT Dental Clinic operates three practices in Ho Chi Minh City: Binh Thanh, District 5 and Go Vap. The group presents a specialist-led model covering dental implants, orthodontics, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and general dental care. For expatriates and visitors, the choice of branch matters because the address, direct telephone number, clinician and appointment availability may differ. Confirm which facility will perform each stage rather than assuming that all three sites offer an identical schedule or team on a given day.
The provider says all three clinics are licensed by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and publishes separate operating-licence numbers on its Vietnamese pages: 00047/HCM-GPHD for Binh Thanh, 06418/HCM-GPHĐ for District 5 and 09563/HCM-GPHĐ for Go Vap. These are branch-specific identifiers reported by I-DENT, not a single system-wide licence. Patients considering surgery can ask the clinic to show the current licence for the exact premises and the practising certificate of the treating dentist.
Implant assessment and full-arch reconstruction
I-DENT's implant service covers a single missing tooth and All-on-X full-arch treatment, including All-on-4 and All-on-6 configurations. Its official pages also describe bone grafting, sinus-related procedures, temporary teeth and a choice of implant systems. The number and position of implants cannot be selected from a marketing package alone. Bone volume, gum health, bite forces, smoking, medical history, remaining teeth and the design of the final prosthesis all influence the plan.
The clinic advertises remote preparation for overseas patients, but a plan based on photographs or an old X-ray remains provisional. Final decisions should follow an examination and current imaging. Ask whether quoted treatment includes extractions, grafting, sedation, temporary and final teeth, abutments, laboratory work and follow-up. Also confirm whether the restoration offered during the first trip is provisional and when a second visit may be required after healing.
I-DENT publishes promotional package prices and inclusions. These can help with initial budgeting, but the current written quotation should control. Request the implant brand and model, component details, serial records, proposed loading timetable and alternatives if adequate stability is not achieved on the planned day. No implant brand or digital guide can guarantee integration or eliminate the need for long-term hygiene and maintenance.
Crowns, veneers and preserving natural teeth
Cosmetic and restorative services include porcelain crowns, veneers, bridges and digitally designed restorations. An in-house laboratory may shorten communication between the dentist and technician, but speed should not determine whether a tooth is prepared. Before treatment, ask why a veneer, crown, inlay, onlay or direct filling is recommended and how much healthy tooth structure would be removed.
Colour and shape planning should be accompanied by checks of decay, gum health, existing restorations, grinding and the bite. For several teeth, a written tooth-by-tooth plan helps distinguish medically necessary restoration from elective cosmetic changes. Ask whether temporary restorations will be used, how the bite will be tested and what happens if shade, fit or sensitivity needs adjustment after the traveller leaves Vietnam.
The clinic's digital workflow includes scanning, smile-design software and CAD/CAM fabrication. These tools can support measurement and communication, but the final result still depends on diagnosis, preparation, laboratory execution and maintenance. Promotional before-and-after images describe individual cases, not a prediction of another patient's outcome.
Braces and Invisalign for residents and travellers
I-DENT offers fixed braces and Invisalign clear aligners, supported by iTero scanning, ClinCheck planning and the My Invisalign monitoring application. Orthodontic treatment normally lasts months or years, so it is best suited to people who can maintain regular reviews or have a clearly agreed cross-border follow-up arrangement. A short visit may be enough for records or a consultation but not for the complete course.
The clinic's Invisalign page gives different packages based on case complexity and aligner count. Eligibility cannot be determined solely from the package name. Ask who will supervise the case, how frequently in-person assessment is required, whether attachments or interproximal reduction are planned, what refinements are included and which retainers are supplied after active treatment.
If treatment will continue outside Vietnam, confirm in advance whether a home-country dentist or orthodontist is willing to take over. Remote monitoring can help document aligner wear, but gum problems, unexpected tooth movement, pain, a loose bracket or an altered bite can require a physical examination. Keep copies of scans, photographs, radiographs and the treatment plan.
General dentistry and oral surgery
The clinic lists cleaning, periodontal care, fillings, root-canal treatment, wisdom-tooth extraction and other general services. A clinical examination should establish whether pain comes from decay, the dental pulp, gums, a cracked tooth, the jaw joint or another cause. Treatment should follow the diagnosis rather than the length of time a visitor has available.
For extraction or oral surgery, disclose medicines, allergies, pregnancy, diabetes, immune conditions, heart disease, anticoagulant use, previous reactions to anaesthetic and any history of difficult healing. Do not stop prescribed medication without guidance from the relevant clinician. Ask about postoperative pain control, dietary restrictions, suture removal and how long to wait before flying or undertaking strenuous activity.
Root-canal treatment may need several stages and often requires a durable final restoration. If travel dates are tight, establish whether the proposed work is definitive or temporary. Request copies of the pre- and post-treatment images so a dentist elsewhere can understand the procedure if symptoms recur.
Imaging, surgery rooms and the in-house laboratory
The facilities and technology page describes Cone Beam CT, intraoral scanning, 3D printing, surgical guides, CAD/CAM milling, an in-house dental laboratory, surgical rooms and a central sterilisation area. CBCT can provide useful three-dimensional information for selected implant, surgical and orthodontic cases, but it uses ionising radiation. Imaging should be clinically justified and limited to the region and detail needed for the decision.
I-DENT says its surgical facilities include vital-sign monitoring, air filtration and separate recovery space. Patients undergoing an advanced procedure should still ask who will operate, who monitors them, what type of anaesthesia or sedation is proposed and what emergency arrangements exist. Equipment lists are helpful, but they do not replace informed consent or individual risk assessment.
The provider also describes Class B autoclaves, instrument packaging, a one-way sterilisation workflow and single-use consumables. These are provider statements. Patients who want more detail can ask how instrument cycles are monitored, how sterile packs are stored and which items are opened at the chair.
Quality certification and branch licences
I-DENT states that its quality-management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by BSI with UKAS accreditation. ISO 9001 concerns management processes; it should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a clinical outcome, proof that every product claim is correct or a substitute for the clinic and practitioner licences required in Vietnam.
Because the group operates three branches, documentary checks should match the treatment site. Ask for the current operating licence of that branch, the treating dentist's practising certificate and, where relevant, the approved surgical scope. The profile does not place all three licence identifiers into one structured registry field because doing so could obscure which number belongs to which premises.
Planning care from abroad
The clinic offers remote treatment-plan preparation and promotes assistance for overseas patients. A useful first message includes the main concern, recent radiographs, relevant medical history, previous implant or crown records, available travel dates and the country where follow-up will occur. Do not send more personal information than necessary, and retain a copy of everything submitted.
Before buying flights, obtain a provisional sequence rather than just a total price. Clarify how many clinic visits are expected, what can change after imaging, how many recovery days are sensible, whether transport or accommodation assistance is included, and which costs are excluded. A statement such as “temporary teeth within three days” applies only when the clinical conditions and package terms allow it.
The English-language website helps international visitors research the service, but it does not by itself prove that every dentist, assistant or coordinator at every branch can conduct complex consent discussions in English. Confirm the language of the treating clinician and arrange an interpreter if needed. This is especially important for surgery, sedation and irreversible cosmetic treatment.
Locations, telephone numbers and conflicting Sunday hours
The Binh Thanh clinic is at 19U–19V Nguyen Huu Canh Street, Thanh My Tay Ward, with telephone (028) 3840 6854. The District 5 clinic is at 193A–195 Hung Vuong Street, An Dong Ward, telephone (028) 3833 6818. The Go Vap clinic is at 83 Street No. 3, Cityland Residential Area, Go Vap Ward, telephone (028) 2203 6818. The general hotline is 094 1818 616.
Official pages agree on Monday to Saturday hours of 08:00–20:00, but they conflict on Sunday. The current English homepage says 08:00–12:00, while the detailed about page and Vietnamese branch information say Sunday closed. For that reason, no Sunday or universal structured timetable is stored here. Confirm the chosen branch and date by telephone before travelling.
The official Vietnamese payment information lists cash, bank transfer and POS card payment, with Visa, Mastercard and JCB named for eligible instalment arrangements. Instalment eligibility depends on the issuing bank, invoice value, card limit and programme terms; it should not be assumed to apply to a foreign card. No international insurance or direct-billing arrangement was found in the reviewed official material, so coverage should be checked independently with both insurer and clinic.
Records, follow-up and when hospital care is needed
At the end of treatment, request an itemised invoice, treatment notes, copies of imaging, implant or material identifiers, prescriptions and written aftercare. Complex implant or orthodontic care should include a maintenance schedule and a clear route for urgent questions after returning home. A warranty is only useful when its exclusions, required reviews and remedy are understood in writing.
Travellers comparing providers can use Vietnam Clinic's guide to the best dental clinics in Ho Chi Minh City as an additional research tool. The final choice should depend on a diagnosis-based plan, the relevant branch licence, the treating dentist's credentials, transparent costs and realistic follow-up—not promotional volume or success claims.
A dental clinic can manage many tooth and gum problems, but serious facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, rapidly spreading swelling, loss of consciousness or difficulty breathing or swallowing requires urgent hospital assessment. If a problem lies outside its licensed scope, I-DENT says it refers patients to an appropriate specialist hospital. That boundary is particularly important for international visitors who may not know the local emergency system.
