RASA Surgical Practice Hanoi

RASA Surgical Practice is a single-location plastic and aesthetic surgery practice in Tay Ho, Hanoi. Its current model is led by Dr Le Trung Kien, a Specialist Level II physician in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Consultation before choosing a procedure

Reference photographs can help explain a preference, but the plan still depends on anatomy, tissue quality and clinical suitability.

Body contouring and abdominal surgery

The practice's published scope includes liposuction, abdominal contouring, abdominoplasty and fat grafting. These are not interchangeable. Liposuction addresses selected fat deposits, whereas an abdominoplasty may involve excess skin and abdominal-wall repair. RASA's clinical guidance says the extent of surgery, anaesthetic requirements and whether procedures can safely be combined are decided after examination.

The practice publishes MicroAire power-assisted liposuction, POWERSEAL vessel-sealing and J-Plasma as available surgical technologies. Equipment does not determine candidacy or guarantee a smoother recovery. Ask which device, if any, is proposed, why it is suitable for the planned operation and whether its use changes the quotation. Breast surgery and implant documentation

RASA lists breast augmentation, breast lift and breast reduction within its breast-surgery pathway. The official breast augmentation page describes assessment of breast tissue, skin, body proportions, implant type, incision and placement before surgery. It also refers to preoperative blood tests and breast imaging selected for the patient's age and history.

For augmentation, ask for the exact implant manufacturer and line, surface, size, warranty conditions and lot or serial information. RASA's own guidance says patients should receive the model and lot number with the manufacturer's warranty card. Keep those records permanently and take them to future breast imaging or surgical consultations. Revision or exchange planning requires more than knowing that an implant was placed.

Facial surgery and rejuvenation

The facial pathway covers assessment of the eyes, nose, chin and facial ageing in relation to overall proportions. The practice publishes eyelid procedures, rhinoplasty, facial fat grafting, temporal lifting and deep-plane facelift information. It also offers non-surgical and dermatology-related care, but an injectable, laser or skin treatment should not be presented as a substitute for surgery when the underlying concern requires a different approach.

Ask the doctor to identify which change is realistically achievable, the likely scars, the anaesthetic plan and the recovery milestones that matter for travel and work. For rhinoplasty or revision facial surgery, bring previous operative records and any implant details. For a facelift, discuss smoking, anticoagulants, hypertension and previous fillers or threads because these can affect planning.

Dermatology and non-surgical care

RASA's service structure also includes aesthetic dermatology, skin-barrier recovery, pigmentation, acne and peri-procedural skin care. Published services include botulinum toxin, fillers, laser-based treatment and ultrasound-based skin care. These treatments require their own assessment; they are not automatically minor simply because an overnight stay is unnecessary.

Confirm the name of the clinician who will perform the treatment, the product or device, the indication and the aftercare plan. Tell the team about previous injectables, allergies, active skin infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and medicines that affect bleeding. If a skin condition is primarily medical rather than aesthetic, ask whether dermatology assessment or another provider is the more appropriate route.

Minor procedures and hospital-based surgery

RASA states that minor procedures can be performed at its practice, while major surgery involving endotracheal anaesthesia and inpatient observation takes place at a partner hospital with an operating theatre, resuscitation equipment and a dedicated anaesthetic team. The partner hospital is not named as the consultation location. Patients are told the venue during planning.

Before paying a deposit, request the hospital name and address, the operating surgeon, the anaesthetist arrangement, expected admission and discharge times, and the contact route for an urgent postoperative problem. The surgeon who consults is normally the surgeon who operates, according to RASA's policy, but the individual name should still appear in the consent and surgical documents. Preoperative checks and postponing surgery

The practice publishes a preoperative framework that varies with the scale of surgery and anaesthesia. The purpose is to discuss a likely approach and indicative cost range before travel; the practice states that the final plan and quotation require an in-person examination because tissue thickness, elasticity and abdominal-wall integrity cannot be assessed fully on video.

Use the remote appointment to clarify whether the requested procedure appears within scope, which records to send securely, how long to remain in Hanoi and whether a companion is required. Do not book non-refundable travel based only on a preliminary estimate. Confirm the consultation language in advance: RASA provides an English website and English written information, but the official sources reviewed do not guarantee that every clinical appointment is conducted in English.

Costs, deposits and payment

RASA publishes indicative prices for several procedure groups, but says a specific quotation follows the in-person assessment. Its quotation framework can include the surgeon, operating theatre, consumables, intraoperative medicine, anaesthesia, basic postoperative supplies, scheduled follow-up and a compression garment when required. Investigations and implants may be quoted separately.

Payment is listed as cash or bank transfer. RASA does not currently advertise instalment plans. A deposit secures the operating date, with the balance due before surgery; the amount and timing are confirmed after consultation. Ask for a written, itemised quotation and the cancellation or rescheduling terms before transferring money. No direct-billing or accepted-insurer list was found on the official pages reviewed, so insurance should be checked independently.

Recovery, records and follow-up

The practice describes scheduled follow-up and continued review through recovery, including a six-month assessment framework for surgical results. Ask for written wound-care instructions, medicine doses, warning signs and the number to use outside normal hours. A patient flying home should know who will remove sutures or drains, how remote photographs will be handled and when in-person reassessment is necessary.

Keep the operative report, anaesthetic record, implant card, pathology report if applicable, prescriptions and discharge summary. RASA states that clinical records can be documented and shared with consent. Request English-language records before departure if they will be needed by a clinician abroad, and confirm whether translation carries an additional fee.
