About The New Gym Da Nang
The New Gym Da Nang is a 24-hour fitness club at 115 Hoàng Diệu, in the central Hải Châu area. The branch occupies more than 1,000 m² and divides its training floor into cardio, machine-strength, free-weight, functional-training and group-studio zones. It is the network’s only Da Nang branch. The official club page also confirms hot showers, lockers, a rest area and free member parking.
What the 24/7 access actually includes
The workout floor is open every day and members use their card or the network app to enter outside ordinary business hours. This can suit shift workers, travellers managing jet lag and residents who prefer to train before the morning heat or late in the evening. However, 24/7 entry does not mean every service is staffed around the clock. Registration, membership changes and equipment guidance depend on reception or floor-support hours, which the provider distinguishes from gym opening hours.
The main changing room is closed from 22:00 to 06:00. During that period, members may use the public restroom and lockers outside the training area, but should arrive ready to exercise if changing or showering is important. Group classes run at fixed weekly times rather than continuously. Holiday access is normally maintained, although the network advises checking its app or fanpage for exceptional Tết arrangements.
Cardio and machine-strength areas
The cardio zone publishes treadmills, stationary bicycles, elliptical trainers and stair-climbing machines. These can be used for warm-ups, steady aerobic work or intervals. Anyone returning after inactivity should begin at a pace that permits normal speech and increase duration or intensity gradually. Stop if exercise causes chest pressure, faintness, unusual breathlessness or palpitations; gym staff cannot replace emergency or medical assessment.
The strength area contains fixed-path machines for major muscle groups, including chest press, back pull, shoulder press and leg work. Machines can help a beginner learn a movement with more stability than free weights, but the seat, pads and range still need adjustment. The club publishes an introductory equipment session and floor support during staffed hours. New members should use these rather than copying another person’s settings.
Free weights and functional training
The free-weight area includes dumbbells in multiple loads, barbells, weight plates, benches and squat racks. It supports compound movements such as squats, bench presses and deadlifts, but those exercises require appropriate technique and load selection. Use collars when required, keep the lifting area clear and ask for a spotter for a set that may end near failure. Re-rack weights after use and do not rely on social-media form cues when pain or previous injury changes the movement.
The functional zone is an open area with kettlebells, resistance bands, boxes, ropes and mats. It can accommodate circuits, mobility work and multi-directional exercises. Check that the space around a swinging kettlebell, rope or jump box is clear. If training without supervision late at night, choose loads and movements you can control without assistance and tell someone where you are.
Group classes at the Da Nang branch
The current branch page lists 12 member classes in the studio. Yoga focuses on breathing and mobility; New Combat combines music with martial-arts-inspired movement; New Pump uses bars and weights; and Zumba, Aerobics, Dance Fit, TikTok Dance and Sexy Dance are dance-based formats. Bum n Tum targets the lower body and core, Cardio & Core combines interval and trunk work, Bootcamp uses short small-group circuits, and Class for Beginners introduces treadmill use.
Published sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes and vary from beginner to higher intensity. The classes are included in membership, but the weekly timetable can change and should be checked at reception or through current club channels. Arrive early for a first class, tell the instructor about pregnancy, dizziness, joint limitations or recent surgery, and ask how to reduce jumping, impact or load. A class label such as ‘beginner’ does not establish medical suitability.
Personal training and initial guidance
Personal training is available as a separate paid service. The network describes individual programmes for goals such as strength, body composition and general fitness, while current memberships publish two introductory PT sessions. Before purchasing a larger package, ask for the trainer’s full name, qualifications, language availability, assessment process, session duration, cancellation terms and whether the same trainer will deliver the whole package.
A useful first assessment should cover training history, current activity, injuries, medicines and relevant medical restrictions. Body-composition measurements can help track broad trends, but hydration, meals, exercise and time of day affect readings. They are not medical tests and should not be used to diagnose disease or justify aggressive weight-loss targets. Record performance, recovery and consistency alongside any app or InBody result.
Membership options for residents and visitors
The provider publishes one-day, flexible monthly, automatically renewed monthly and six-month products, with rights varying by plan and branch. Current network material says some plans cover one registered club, while the longer all-network option can be used at branches in other Vietnamese cities. Prices and policies may change, so ask the club to show the current Da Nang tariff and contractual terms before payment.
Clarify the total charge, access start and end dates, automatic-renewal method, cancellation deadline, refund conditions, included PT sessions, guest access and other-branch rights. The current policy distinguishes cash, bank transfer or card arrangements according to product and uses automatic billing for some monthly plans. International residents should not assume that leaving Vietnam cancels a recurring membership; obtain written confirmation of cancellation.
The club advertises a seven-day first-visit trial, but promotions can change or carry eligibility conditions. A traveller needing only one or several sessions should compare the current day pass with any trial rather than entering a long contract solely to gain temporary access. Bring the identity and payment documents requested by the club and ask whether the app requires a Vietnamese telephone number.
Facilities and practical access
In addition to its workout zones, the Da Nang page confirms hot-water showers, free lockers, a rest area and free member parking. The membership comparison also lists Wi-Fi and water. Check whether a padlock, towel or toiletries must be supplied by the member and avoid leaving passports, cash or expensive electronics unattended. The provider’s overnight rule moves storage to public lockers when the main changing room is closed.
The address is close to Nguyễn Văn Linh and the route between Da Nang International Airport and Dragon Bridge. People arriving from Sơn Trà or the Mỹ Khê beach area can cross the river via Dragon Bridge and continue to Hoàng Diệu. Traffic, rain and parking access can affect the journey, so allow extra time for a scheduled class or induction. Vietnam Clinic’s guide to gyms in Da Nang can help compare location and training style with other local facilities.
Exercise safety and when a gym is not enough
Complete the provider’s pre-exercise health declaration honestly and update it if circumstances change. Seek medical advice before vigorous exercise when there is uncontrolled blood pressure, unexplained chest pain, fainting, a recent operation, significant heart or lung disease, pregnancy complications or a condition for which a clinician has restricted activity. A personal trainer can programme exercise but does not diagnose injury or clear a person medically unless separately licensed to do so.
Sudden chest pain, collapse, severe breathing difficulty, stroke-like weakness, major bleeding or a serious fall needs emergency help rather than a modified workout. Persistent joint pain, numbness, weakness or swelling should be assessed before loading the area further. Ask reception about emergency procedures, first-aid availability and how to summon assistance, especially if planning to train alone overnight.
Contacting the Da Nang club
The official branch page lists 115 Hoàng Diệu, Hải Châu Ward, Da Nang City and the network hotline 1900 636 920. Customer support also publishes cskh@thenewgym.vn. The website has an English branch page, but it does not promise that an English-speaking employee is present during every shift; international members should confirm language support for registration, safety instructions and contract questions.
For a first visit, arrange the trial, day pass or membership discussion during staffed hours, request a tour and learn the access method before attempting an overnight entry. Confirm the current class timetable rather than relying on an old screenshot. Once the practical details are understood, the branch offers a broad, central and genuinely round-the-clock workout floor without suggesting that every facility or support service operates continuously.
