About Victoria Healthcare
Four clinics serving different parts of Ho Chi Minh City
Victoria Healthcare is a multispecialty outpatient network with four branches across Ho Chi Minh City. Its central location is at 20–20Bis–22 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, with additional clinics at 37–39 Luong Dinh Cua, 135A Nguyen Van Troi and 1056 Nguyen Van Linh in Sky Garden 1. This distribution gives residents a choice of District 1, An Khanh, Phu Nhuan and the Phu My Hung area, but patients should not assume that every doctor or test is available at every branch.
When booking, give the call centre both the specialty and preferred location. Ask the agent to repeat the full address because online maps and older documents may use former ward or district names. The network publishes (028) 3910 4545 as its hotline and (028) 7309 4545 for customer service. The general schedule is Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from 08:00 to 12:00, although individual doctor hours vary.
Primary care first, with specialist follow-up available
The service directory includes internal medicine and family medicine, which can be a sensible first point of contact for a new symptom, medication review or a problem involving several conditions. The clinics also list paediatrics, gastroenterology and hepatology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology and andrology, ENT, endocrinology, dermatology and laser treatment, and psychology. Health-check packages and corporate medical programmes are offered separately.
This is an outpatient clinic system rather than a full acute-care hospital. It may arrange consultations, preventive examinations and diagnostic work, but severe illness, major trauma or a condition requiring intensive monitoring may need transfer to a hospital. Before attending for a specific procedure, confirm whether it is performed at the chosen branch and whether a referral, fasting or advance deposit is required.
A practical route for expats and families
For an international resident, continuity can be more valuable than booking a different specialist for every complaint. A family-medicine appointment provides an opportunity to review current medicines, vaccinations, previous diagnoses and recent results in one place. Parents can use the paediatric service for routine concerns and preventive care, while specialist departments can address problems that need a narrower assessment.
Take a passport or accepted identification, a list of medications and allergies, insurance details and any previous reports. If records are not in English or Vietnamese, a short translated summary can help the clinician understand dates, diagnoses and treatment decisions. Bring original imaging files when possible rather than only a written radiology report. For a health check, ask which tests are included and whether the resulting certificate meets the exact purpose—such as employment, school enrolment or a general preventive review.
Direct billing requires confirmation before the visit
Victoria Healthcare advertises direct-billing support, but this does not mean every insurer, policy or service is automatically accepted. Contact the clinic and insurer before the appointment, provide the policy number and ask whether pre-authorisation is needed. Screening packages, vaccinations, chronic-condition care and outpatient psychology may be treated differently from medically necessary consultations.
If direct billing cannot be confirmed, ask what must be paid on the day and what documents will be supplied for reimbursement. Expatriates still choosing coverage may find it useful to compare local, travel and international health insurance in Vietnam, because each type handles routine outpatient care differently. Leave enough time for authorisation if several tests are planned.
When an outpatient clinic is not enough
Use Victoria Healthcare for stable symptoms, scheduled specialist reviews, preventive care and follow-up that does not require hospital admission. Call the clinic before travelling if symptoms have changed or if the patient may need urgent observation.
Severe chest pain, breathing difficulty, signs of stroke, loss of consciousness, uncontrolled bleeding, major injury, a serious allergic reaction or an acute pregnancy complication requires emergency care. In these situations, use Vietnam’s emergency medical number or go directly to a hospital with a 24-hour emergency department. Do not wait for the next clinic appointment or delay urgent treatment while seeking insurance approval.
